Ruthie Stephens

After 13 years of performing in the West End and UK Tours, Ruthie moved into the creative side of Musical Theatre assisting Karen Bruce and many others on Qdos Pantomimes before becoming the Associate Choreographer. She then moved on to become Associate Choreographer and Director for The New Starlight Express workshop at The Other Palace, working very closely with Arlene Phillips, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Richard Stilgoe.

In early 2018, she was entrusted to oversee the transportation of the changes made in the workshop to the 1650 seated theatre in Bochum, Germany. Once again, she worked very closely with The Really Useful Group and the original Starlight Express creative team on bringing the spectacle of a show up to date.

In the Summer of 2019, Ruthie worked as the associate choreographer on The View Upstairs at The Soho Theatre, directed by Jonathan Boyle and choreographer by Fabian Aloise. At the end of the year, Ruthie choreographed her own Qdos Pantomime, directed by Thom Sutherland and starring Strictly Come Dancing professional, Brendan Cole.

Most recently, Ruthie choreographed the opening number of the 2020 WhatsOnStage Awards for Paul Taylor Mills.
